Description

Daniela Stöhr is a senior scientist and lecturer at the Institute of Cell Biology and Immunology, University of Stuttgart, Germany. She obtained her PhD in 2018 at the Institute of Cell Biology and Immunology in the group of Prof. Morrison, where she investigated emerging resistance mechanisms to TRAIL in cancer cells grown as 3D spheroids.
Following her doctoral studies, she continued as a postdoctoral researcher in the same group, focusing on TRAIL-induced cell death and the synergistic induction of apoptosis through the combination of TRAIL and other FDA-approved therapeutic compounds, particularly cardiac glycosides. Since 2023, she has held a permanent position as senior scientist at the University of Stuttgart.

Her current research focuses on programmed cell death, with particular emphasis on apoptosis and ferroptosis and the molecular crosstalk between these pathways.
