Description

Our research focuses on how molecular mechanisms of cell death signaling can impact surrounding tissue.
Different modes of cell death programs exist to maintain tissue homeostasis and to defend the body by activating the immune system. We are interested in understanding how the E3 ligase activity can alter cell death signaling with a new focus on organelle homeostasis.
Ultimately, we believe understanding how organelle homeostasis is maintained will allow us to understand how cells function in response to infection, sterile inflammation and cell death.
